Job Description


Join our Sefton family and lead the development of the social care elements of our SEND strategy. You will ensure that the SEND reforms agenda becomes embedded within social care operations and practice and take colleagues along with you on this journey.

This role is crucial to the development of our SEND services and we want someone passionate and driven to lead this work. You will contribute to and influence SEND organisational design and assist in the development of the 0-25 Service as well as work with the whole of Children\'s Services in respect of children with an EHCP Plan. This is an exciting role for anyone who wants to look at SEND provision in a creative and innovative way and come up with original solutions to challenges.

You will be tasked with establishing and leading a network of SEND \'champions\' , including practitioners and managers across Children\'s Social Care. Facilitating and overseeing the implementation of the SEND Improvement Plan within social care through this network and gathering insight and intelligence from them and other groups such as the Sefton Parent Carer Forum to inform future planning.

You will also get the chance to lead work on developing social care aspects of the Local Offer, including services provided by the social work teams and Aiming High short breaks service alongside the senior managers responsible for those services.
