Designer / Draughtsperson

to join our in-house design and technical team.

You'll report directly to our Technical Manager and take the reins on designing and developing new and existing products using a variety of materials, whilst remaining within the remit of the company's route to market.

Collaboration is key, and you'll work closely with stakeholders in the development of these products, and ensure all design and technical briefs are met.

Got a new concept in mind? You'll chase it down and make sure it's technically feasible with the tools we've got.

You'll keep your finger on the pulse of evolving product standards, especially those within the construction and housebuilding markets, and your work will take you beyond the drawing board and out into the real world with site visits to assess, refine, and spot what's next. You'll also play a hands-on role in helping our manufacturing team fine-tune and optimise our existing products.

Experience Required



A degree or equivalent in an engineering/manufacturing discipline. Good working knowledge of Solidworks Professional. Be financially savvy in your actions and decision-making processes. Have at least 5 years working knowledge of designing using PP and other plastic based materials and their design and manufacturing techniques and tooling is preferred. Be knowledgeable regards running Solidworks FEA simulations on steel fabrications & plastic designs. Excel at communicating internally with your colleagues and show a solid desire to drive improvement at all levels. Be computer literate and able to produce drawings and supporting documents within a product design brief. Be open to designing products in other material types.
