The Desktop & Applications Support Technician, reporting to our Technical Support Lead, plays a key role in ensuring that staff and students have reliable access to the devices and applications they need for teaching, learning, and business operations. The role is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and managing the Group's end-user equipment, including desktops, laptops, tablets, and peripheral, ensuring that all devices are secure, up-to-date, and performing effectively. In addition, the post holder will oversee the deployment, configuration, and support of software applications, ensuring that systems are fit for purpose, compliant with organisational policies, and aligned with cyber security standards such as Cyber Essentials. By providing responsive support, proactive maintenance, and effective application management, the Desktop & Applications Support Technician will directly contribute to delivering an excellent end-user experience across the organisation. In your role working at the Education Training Collective, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the seamless operation of our technological infrastructure, supporting both staff and students in their use of IT resources. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, contributing to the overall efficiency and reliability of our educational technology ecosystem. Working with the Technical Support Lead to provide an outstanding end user experience to all stakeholders.
