About the Role

We are looking for

motivated and reliable Despatch Operatives / Order Pickers

to join our growing team at Cranswick Gourmet Bacon.
This is a key role within our logistics operation, ensuring that all goods are picked, checked, and despatched accurately and on time to meet production and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately

pick and prepare orders

for despatch in line with customer specifications. Ensure all products are correctly labelled and recorded before loading. Maintain

high standards of accuracy and efficiency

to meet daily despatch targets. Operate handling equipment safely (Reach Truck or Counterbalance) where trained and authorised. Support stock rotation and inventory control within the despatch area. Work closely with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and effective communication. Maintain a

clean, safe, and organised working environment

in line with site health and safety and food hygiene standards.

The ideal candidate will:

Be

reliable, punctual, and proactive

, with a strong sense of responsibility. Demonstrate good

communication and teamwork skills

. Be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy. Be

flexible and adaptable

, with a positive attitude. Hold a

Reach Truck or Counterbalance licence

(advantageous but not essential). Have previous experience in

order picking, despatch, or warehouse operations

(preferred, not essential). Comfortable working in a

chilled environment
