About the role


Destination Marketing Officer

Location: Municipal Offices

Hours: 37 per week

Salary: Grade F (32,597-34,434)



Join Marketing Cheltenham, the town's official destination marketing team, and play a key role in promoting Regency Cheltenham - The Festival Town. With nearly 2 million visitors every year, Cheltenham is a place of culture, creativity and community, and this role puts you at the heart of showcasing everything that makes it special.



As Destination Marketing Officer, you'll help shape how Cheltenham is seen by visitors and residents - creating inspiring content, supporting high-profile campaigns and championing the town's thriving visitor economy.



What you'll do

Create engaging digital content for social media, newsletters and the Visit Cheltenham website. Produce beautiful photography and video to promote the town and local businesses. Keep the Visit Cheltenham website accurate, up to date and SEO friendly with inspirational content Support marketing campaigns, media activity and press releases. Build strong relationships with local businesses, partners and tourism stakeholders.

What you'll bring

Experience in consumer or digital marketing - ideally within the tourism industry. Strong content creation skills and confidence using tools like Canva and Mailchimp. Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail. A genuine passion for Cheltenham, great local knowledge and a proactive 'can do' approach.
