Job Description


Search of a dedicated Development Accountant to join our accounting and finance team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Social Housing sector and the ability to thrive in a team setting.

  • To work closely with the Development Finance team and the Development Programme team on monthly schedules.
  • On a monthly basis, generate accurate and timely management reports for the Capital Management Group, Development committee, Finance and Treasury committee.
  • Act as a financial lead on large-scale, high-risk, and transformational projects and activities within the directorate as needed.
  • To update the long term financial planning development side on a regular basis and to scenario test it.
  • Accounts (including all subsidiaries) and other external legal reporting requirements must be delivered with accurate, high-quality accounting records.
  • Support ad hoc queries by directing stakeholders to appropriate finance teams.
  • Facilitating internal audits and supporting external audit processes.
  • Developing and maintaining effective financial management systems and processes.
  • Assisting in the continuous improvement of financial management practices within the organisation.
G15 organisation.|You will contributing to solving homelessness in the UK.

A successful Development Accountant should have:
  • Qualification required - ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
  • Proficiency in Sun Systems desired and advanced Excel & Word skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of Forecasting /long term planning software Brixx
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • A commitment to ethical behaviour and good corporate governance.
