About the role
Finance business partner for GSA`s Development & Construction team.
Reporting directly to the Head of FP&A, this role is key to creating the link between finance and the business area, providing analysis and strategic insights to senior stakeholders to influence long-term decision making.
Reporting & Forecasting:
Deliver clear and robust budget and forecast updates, ensuring all stakeholders are engaged in these processes to produce credible financial projections.
Provision of sound financial advice to budget holders, ensuring costs are maintained within our wider programme of Value for Money (VfM).
Responsible for production of forward projections, with all material variances being identified and action plans being formulated with operations to deliver the overall financial targets of the Board.
Support budget holders to triangulate financial and non-financial information and interpret and explain performance and forecasts within the Group`s monthly reporting
Ensure all reporting can be traced back to a single source of truth.
Monitoring of cost improvement / efficiency plans, highlighting risks to achievement and supporting identification of alternative plans where necessary.
Insights:
Ensure that financial decisions are in keeping with the longer-term strategic aims of the Group, and investments continue to drive continuous business improvements.
Financial modelling of all business cases, with clear costs and desired financial outcomes approved prior to investments.
Develop and refine dashboards and ad hoc reports
Identify and communicate potential financial risks
Communicate financial trends and recommendations to senior management.

About you
We are looking for a strong analyst with planning/forecast experience within a Development / Construction environment, who can demonstrate a track record of adding value through insights to the organisations they work with.
A qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, ACA) or equivalent experience
Analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights and interpret the impact of both financial and non-financial commercial decisions.
Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities, ideally with advanced Excel skills
Initiative-taking, results-oriented, and commercial mindset with the ability to thrive in a complex working environment.
