We're looking for two dynamic Development Leads to drive forward our Transforming Care Digitally (TCD) Programme technical projects. This is your chance to lead a talented team of analysts and ensure our systems deliver safe, efficient, and patient-centred care. Each lead will be responsible for a designated project area- either RiO EPR (our main mental health EPR), or SystmOne (our main community physical health EPR).



What is Transforming Care Digitally?



Transforming Care Digitally (TCD) is a strategic programme launched in 2024 by Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust. Its goal is to enhance digital capabilities across the Trust to improve patient care, enhance clinical delivery through digital solutions, and improve digital maturity.



The core objectives of TCD include;



Patient-Centred Care - Ensuring digital systems support safe, high-quality, and accessible care.

Clinical Process Improvement - Aligning system configuration with clinical workflows.

Staff Efficiency & Productivity - Reducing duplication and improving usability.

Intelligent service development - Enhancing data use for operational and strategic decision-making.

What You'll Do:

Lead clinical system configuration across multiple services

Align digital changes with clinical processes and patient needs

Manage a team of Configuration Analysts and deputise for the Senior Lead

Collaborate with other external providers, TCD Programme leads and external suppliers

Ensure robust testing, governance, and clinical safety sign-off

However, we also know we have plenty of room for improvement in many areas. Management / Projects



Responsibility for the day to day configuration management of clinical systems Day to day management of a team of Analysts. Plan system configuration projects in line with awareness of the organisations overarching Clinical Systems road map.

Ensure clinical systems changes align to national guidance and standard definitions.

Provide robust business as usual processes in relation to requesting, managing, reporting, prioritising, escalation and closure of clinical systems configuration-related incidents.

Follow up on post project activities to ensure that "business as usual" handover processes are clearly defined, documented and operating effectively.



Analysis



Interpret and communicate complex information to TCD Senior management and project leads, understanding Clinical System process requirements. Analyse complex system problems and issues, making judgements regarding allocation of resources to meet business and services priorities.

Communication / Liaison



Facilitate on identified user group workshops/CPD sessions which support the delivery of Clinical Systems related activity. Lead/participate in local, regional and national meetings and events, as appropriate or other activities relevant to the role as advised by the Clinical Systems Senior Lead. Articulate highly complex configuration aspects and communicate complex technical issues to the organisations managers, service leads and clinicians. Use significant communication and influencing skills when negotiating with external organisations and system suppliers to ensure the delivery of high quality clinical systems that are clinically safe.

Other



Work within and be aware of NHS guidelines that support information governance, information security, data quality and audit.

To actively promote timely and robust clinical system data collection to support the provision of efficient patient care and informed organisational business processes.

To report to and escalate issues to the Clinical Systems Senior Lead for Transforming Care Digitally Programme .
