Development Manager - Mobile Devices

Advantage Resourcing is working with a Global Telecommunications business and is seeking a Business Development Manager to work with the company to identify and assess strategic fields of action. This will be based on corporate/group strategy and business potential with new technologies in the area of mobile devices, mobile operating systems and their ecosystem and advertising. This would be working with partner software and will involved bring new ideas to the development of the service.

This is not a new business/sales role however a role with key development opportunities to work with great product offerings.

You will be working on proof of concepts and deployments, facilitating new ideas and doing competitor reviews and meeting new partners. You will also be working on advertising within this role and advertising technologies, working on offerings to the customers

The role would suit a candidate from a Product Management background or similar and someone with a passion for mobile technologies, operating systems and devices.

This comes with an excellent base salary, bonus up to 15% + car allowance and generous pension matching scheme. The role will be hybrid working in the office in Welwyn Garden City and will involve circa 20% travel which could be in Europe.

Due to the nature of the role and company candidates from a telecoms, mobile devices and operating systems would be preferred.

Overview:

• Developing business cases and business models for new and existing business segments, including evaluating their impact on the overall portfolio and making informed decisions.
• Conducting market and customer analyses to assess market potential, identify trends, and create cost-effectiveness analyses.
• Identifying portfolio gaps, potential opportunities, and implementation measures, while conducting risk and feasibility analyses in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Providing strategic advice to management regarding product portfolio and overseeing strategically oriented projects.

Qualifications:

• Holding a degree in economics or equivalent professional training with a relevant focus, or possessing several years of experience in business development and innovation.
• Possessing extensive industry-specific knowledge or exceptional specialized knowledge and skills.
• Demonstrating expertise in both traditional and agile forms of collaboration.
• Exhibiting outstanding proficiency in managing strategically oriented projects.
• Serving as an expert in evaluating business opportunities and digital business models.
• Possessing in-depth knowledge of market research and understanding of the relevant product portfolio.
• Demonstrating expertise in Business Case Justification (BCJ).
• Having an excellent grasp of technology and a customer/market-oriented approach.
• Preferred experience in mobile devices, mobile operating systems, ecosystems, as well as advertising and advertising technologies
