About this role
Intern positions are available from the Spring of 2026, to suit dedicated undergraduate and postgraduate student scientists studying biological sciences, genetics, or chemistry/biochemistry, and who have a curiosity about pursuing a career in biological sciences/genetics.
The ideal candidates will be looking for an authentic and structured intern experience and will be on-course to achieve at least a 2.1 degree in biological sciences, genetics, or chemistry/biochemistry at university.

As an intern in our Sample Technology Development team, you'll work alongside experienced scientists to contribute to critical projects, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced scientific research & development environment.
Laboratory Work:
Conduct wet-lab experiments, analyse data, and contribute to ongoing research projects.
Hands-on Experience:
Gain practical experience in molecular biology, oligonucleotide design, chromatography, electrophysiology, and bioinformatics
Data Analysis:
Utilise statistical and data analysis tools to interpret results and draw meaningful conclusions.
Project Management:
Assist in project planning/tracking/reporting.
Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
Eligibility
Successful candidates will be available to accept a minimum 3-month placement, commencing from spring/summer 2026. Specific dates will be discussed at interview.
All roles require the intern to work full time hours for the duration of the placement, and be present in our Oxford HQ, on Oxford Science Park.
