Newmarket Biomedical Ltd specialise in the manufacture and supply of in-vitro diagnostic tests to the world market. We are seeking to employ a Scientist to assist in the developmental work on existing in-vitro diagnostics tests and experimental work/development on new immuno-assays for different infectious diseases.
What will you be doing?
Conducting key research and development work to include planning, design and execution of project studies and/or research and development as directed by the R&D Manager and Executive Management.
Main duties and responsibilities
Conducting experimental work optimising current Syphilis immunoassays.
Research and development work into alternative technologies for Syphilis and other infectious diseases.
Search and review research literature for new methods and ideas to be considered for follow up work and development.
Implementation of day-to-day project studies with guidance from the R&D Manager to meet required project timelines.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including verification and validation plans and reports to support product claims for product technical file and regulatory submissions.
Maintaining clear and accurate records of development work performed.
Undertaking any training the company may require.
Work to GLP and GMP.
Maintain training record.
What do you need?
BSc or equivalent qualification in a biology, biomedical or chemistry related scientific subject.
Previous experience in IVD product development desirable, but not essential
Enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
The position would suit a graduate looking to gain experience in the field of in-vitro diagnostic assay development.
