What You\'ll Do

Software is at the heart of Gamma. As a software test engineer, you will improve and expand our existing automated test suites, work closely with developers to understand requirements, and formulate and enact test plans to ensure that we deliver change without compromising quality. You will be part of a cross functional team, comprising of developers, testers, business analysts and product owners. As such you must be a strong team player who values a collaborative approach.

We are continuously looking to improve our processes and systems, and you will contribute and engage with this, and seize opportunities to learn and develop your own knowledge and skills along the way.

Key Capabilities

You must have experience in the following areas:

  • Automation testing, including knowledge of testing types and strategies
  • Manual testing, including exploratory and regression testing
  • Identifying and writing test cases
  • Using Jira (or similar) and an understanding of the defect lifecycle
  • Java and SQL knowledge
  • Working within an agile methodology
Experience in the following areas would be beneficial:
  • Automated UI test tooling (such as Selenium)
  • API testing, and associated tools (such as Postman, REST Assured)
  • Source code version control (ideally Git)
  • BDD testing languages (such as Cucumber)
  • CI/CD and related tooling
  • Performance testing (such as JMeter, Locust)
  • Application performance tooling (such as Dynatrace, New Relic)
  • Familiarity with service-oriented architecture (SOA) and microservices
  • Containerisation (ideally Docker, Kubernetes)
