We are seeking a talented and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a DevOps Engineer at Optum UK, you will play a crucial role in in defining technical solutions, infrastructure architecture and implementation of engineering solutions across healthcare software systems.


You will also work closely with our development and Platform teams to function to define and deliver new products and new features.

What you'll do:





As a tech for good business, the customer is at the heart of everything we do. You will will be accountable for development from inception, elaboration and analysis, right though the SDLC to deployment.




Primary Responsibilities:




Automating the rollout of applications using CI/CD technologies Supporting the automation of configuration for internally used software & platforms Defining Datacentric Solutions with CloudFormation/CDK/Terraform Developing and maintaining new projects Collaborate with development teams to design and implement reliable and scalable software systems Focus on cloud agnostic containerised workloads whilst leveraging key cloud services and partners to optimise engineering output Working in a cross-functional capacity between Software Engineering, QA and Hosted Operations



Who You'll Be:





We are seeking a talented and experienced DevOps Engineer that's keen to lean and improve their skillset. You will have a solid background in software development and a good understanding of cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.



You will be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role, as well as providing development for other roles you may be interested in.

Other useful skills and experience include:




Experience working as a Software Engineer Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or similar role Proven solid knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, Terraform, or similar) Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) Demonstrated familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.) Proven excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Proven solid communication and collaboration skills
