FOR THIS ROLE YOU MUST HAVE AT LEAST ONE YEAR HGV DRIVING EXPERIENCE

Pay Rate:

43,184.79



Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)



Shift patterns: Any 5 out of 7, 48 hours per week, 5am to 6am start, Sunday to Thursday



Location: Southampton






DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Driver Assessor to play a vital role with the operations success.




WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?





As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:


Monitor Drivers in cab training and coaching drivers events to improve standards To assess and train drivers to the recognised standard in line with customer and DHL's policies and procedures To complete driver re-assessments in line with driver training matrix To be proactive in identifying any training improvements / training needs of the drivers Carry out pre-and existing employment assessments Control and ownship of all documentation associated with training Carry out random assessments with drivers to encourage driver improvements Keep all training records and matrix up to date on a daily/weekly basis and kept securely Deliver fuel economy and defensive driver training Support accident and incident investigations Make recommendations to improve driver training Identify/recognise drivers who have made extensive improvements in their roles and responsibilities Support the delivery Class room training to Drivers Ensure a high level of communication between colleagues and managers is maintained and information flow is of the highest standard

Minimum of a one year HGV driving experience Previous experience of working in the 2 Man transport operation Appropriate HGV Driver Licence Ability to coach and train drivers Transport Knowledge / Transport Legislation
