Adult Community Eating Disorders (ACED)
Based at Warneford Hospital, the ACED team provides specialist outpatient care across Oxfordshire for adults with eating disorders including anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating disorder. The service includes psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, support workers, and dietitians.
Dietitians play a key role in assessment and treatment, offering evidence-based nutritional interventions tailored to individual needs.
They lead education sessions on the physical effects of eating disorders, facilitate recovery-focused groups, and provide one-to-one support to help patients meet personalised nutritional goals.
They also contribute to service development, quality improvement, and student training, ensuring a holistic, forward-thinking approach to care.
Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust provides physical, mental health and social care for people of all ages across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Swindon, Wiltshire, Bath and North East Somerset.
Our services are delivered at community bases, hospitals, clinics and people's homes, delivering care as close to home as possible
Our vision is that no matter who you are or where you are, you will tell us that you receive: "Outstanding care delivered by an outstanding team"
