Job Description

We are seeking a Dietician / Nutritionist Consultant working with Supported Living Accommodation and Children's Care Homes, aligned with the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023 and the values of Willow Tree Group Holdings Ltd.

Purpose of the Role



To provide expert nutritional guidance and support for children and young people aged 16-17 in supported living and residential care settings. The consultant will work collaboratively with care teams to promote healthy eating, address dietary needs, and contribute to wellbeing in line with

Ofsted's Support and Protection Standards

and the

values of Willow Tree Group Holdings Ltd.



Key Responsibilities



Nutritional Assessment & Planning



Conduct individual assessments of dietary needs, including allergies, cultural preferences, and health conditions. Develop tailored nutrition plans that support physical and emotional wellbeing. Advise on meal planning and food provision in accordance with

Regulation 7 (Support Standard)

and

Regulation 6 (Accommodation Standard)

.

Health Promotion & Education



Deliver workshops or informal sessions to young people on healthy eating, body image, and lifestyle choices. Support staff in understanding nutritional needs and promoting positive food environments.

Safeguarding & Compliance



Ensure food provision aligns with safeguarding policies and promotes dignity and choice. Contribute to care planning and reviews, ensuring dietary needs are reflected in

placement plans and pathway plans

.

Consultation & Collaboration



Work with care staff, social workers, and healthcare professionals to ensure integrated support. Provide expert input during inspections and quality reviews, supporting compliance with

Ofsted regulations

.

Monitoring & Evaluation



Review and update nutrition plans regularly. Provide reports and recommendations to management on improvements to food provision and dietary support.

Person Specification



Essential



Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or equivalent qualification. Registered with the

Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

or relevant body. Experience working with children and young people, preferably in care or supported accommodation. Understanding of trauma-informed care and safeguarding.

Desirable



Experience in consultancy or advisory roles. Knowledge of

The Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023

. Familiarity with Ofsted inspection frameworks and quality standards.
