Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving and a strong understanding of delivery processes. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to operate various types of vehicles, including flatbed lorries. A background in warehouse operations is advantageous, as the Driver will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

Operate commercial vehicles to deliver goods to designated locations. Ensure timely and safe delivery while adhering to all traffic regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs and receipts. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Provide assistance in the warehouse as needed, utilising mechanical knowledge for basic maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

Valid driving licence with appropriate endorsements for commercial driving. Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Experience operating flatbed lorries is an advantage. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
