Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced

Digger/Driver

with a valid

1.5 tonne digger operating certificate

to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating plant machinery safely and efficiently, assisting with groundwork tasks, and ensuring all site activities are carried out to a high standard of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Operate a

1.5 tonne digger

to carry out excavation, trenching, grading, and site preparation tasks. Drive and transport machinery, tools, and materials to and from worksites as required. Carry out routine checks and basic maintenance of the digger and other vehicles. Work alongside groundworkers, engineers, and site supervisors to complete projects on time. Ensure all health, safety, and environmental regulations are followed at all times. Assist with manual labour and general site duties when not operating machinery. Report any issues, defects, or hazards to the site manager or supervisor immediately.

Requirements

Valid

1.5 tonne digger operating certificate (CPCS / NPORS or equivalent)

. Full

UK driving licence

(preferably with towing entitlement). Proven experience operating a 1.5 tonne digger on construction or utilities projects. Good understanding of site safety practices and procedures. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks. Punctual, professional, and safety-conscious attitude. CSCS Card

Desirable (Not Essential)

Additional plant/machinery tickets. Experience in groundwork, drainage, or utilities.
