About you

The Digital BIM Coordinator should have relevant experience in a BIM or planning role in the energy or construction sector. You will ideally have several years\' experience of working on large-scale or significant value projects, be familiar with 4D construction sequencing, as well as have an understanding of virtual reality and immersive environments, and have a willingness to learn about all things digital.

We are looking for a competent individual who has experience working collaboratively with various teams - such as clients, engineers, planners, contractors, and operators - to deliver optimal programme requirements. You will commit to high quality output of work and pay attention to detail.

It is beneficial if you have any of the following technical knowledge/experience:

  • Experience with BIM software such as Autodesk Revit.
  • Experience with planning software such as Primavera P6 or Bentley SYNCHRO.
  • Exposure to rendering/animation development software such as Unity or Unreal Engine.
Other skills required for the role are:
  • Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, stakeholders, and contractors.
  • Ability to drive and influence key individuals to deliver the project to the agreed plan.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
  • Confidence in presenting to and speaking to external stakeholder bodies.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.

As a Digital BIM Coordinator, you will be working with multiple parties to enable Digital Rehearsal services across the programme. You will drive the adoption of immersive environments and virtual technologies within our engineering and delivery teams, by trialling, formalising and embedding value adding processes based on these technologies. This will also include stakeholder engagement.

You will assist in enabling coordination with engineering and planning teams to improve the delivery of comprehensive 4D models for all stages of the project lifecycle. The 4D plan will be key to successfully delivering this project.
Reporting to the Energy Digital Delivery Lead and will work closely with project functional leads to facilitate the use of virtual technologies, coordinating with multiple work packages, to provide integrated Digital Rehearsal services for the programme.

Specific duties include:
  • Support implementation of Digital Rehearsal across the programme.
  • Support operation of effective communication to ensure relevant teams give input on, and understand, the Digital Rehearsal strategy and approach.
  • Assist with holding design reviews, safety reviews, and stakeholder communication sessions utilising immersive environments.
  • Assist with enabling immersive collaboration across digital and engineering teams.
  • Support of virtual reality hardware adoption, training, and documentation.
