Role Description



Bright Beany Accounting is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Digital Bookkeeper to join our growing team. This hybrid role will be in our Nottingham office, with flexibility for remote work. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial data, ensuring compliance with regulations, and leveraging technology to streamline and enhance accounting processes.

The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping skills, a keen eye for detail, and proficiency in digital tools.

The role could be on either a full time or part time basis.

Responsibilities



Accounting



Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software (Xero, Dext) for allocated clients Carry out the monthly bookkeeping responsibilities for allocated clients, including processing invoices and expenses, bank reconciliations, VAT reconciliations and journals Handle CIS returns and ensure full compliance Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and management accounts Ensure compliance with applicable standards, rules, regulations, and systems of internal control Liaise directly with clients to resolve queries and provide financial insights Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner Provide support in other areas as requested or required by the directors of the business

Qualifications



Minimum 2 years' experience ideally within an accountancy practice
AAT qualification or equivalent experience is desirable

Experience of working with Xero

Experience of the preparation of VAT returns and CIS returns

Strong organisational and communication skills Desire to improve your knowledge and experience in the accounting and tax world Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team You must have the right to work in the UK

Essential skills and knowledge



Tech-proficient - Experience of cloud-based accounting solutions including Xero and Dext Ability to adapt to new technologies and processes quickly. Engagement in ongoing training and development

Remuneration and benefits



Competitive market rate salary depending on experience Ideally 25-37.5 hours a week, Monday - Friday Hybrid working available (minimum 3 days in the office) Holiday entitlement of 25 days plus bank holidays Day off on your birthday Private Medical Insurance Company Pension Scheme Opportunities for training and development

Pay: 25,000.00-28,000.00 per year
