Brief summary of the role



We're looking for a proactive, creative, and detail-oriented professional to lead the DCC's digital presence. In this manager-level role, you'll deliver our digital communications strategy, drive social media development, and oversee the day-to-day management and improvement of the DCC corporate website. You'll work closely with colleagues across the organisation to source and shape compelling stories that showcase our impact and innovation.



How you will contribute to transforming energy and shaping the future



You'll lead the planning and delivery of our digital communications strategy, ensuring our channels effectively communicate progress in the smart metering roll-out and highlight how our secure data network enables innovation and wider public benefit. Your work will help build understanding of DCC's role and strengthen engagement with key stakeholders.



Your day-to-day responsibilities



Lead the planning and delivery of DCC's digital communications strategy, evaluating impact regularly.

Drive the development of DCC's social media presence (LinkedIn, X, Bluesky) with engaging, timely content.

Manage and improve the DCC corporate website using Umbraco CMS, ensuring it remains user-friendly and compliant.

Create and publish digital content, including graphics, photography, video, and infographics.

Monitor engagement across digital channels, analyse performance data, and produce regular reports.



Your skills that will enable us to fulfil our purpose



Strong creative and digital design skills, ideally using Adobe Creative Suite.

Proven experience managing web and social media functions, either in-house or agency-side.

Experience with website content management systems (preferably Umbraco).

Track record of developing and growing social media communities and delivering content strategies.

Experience in video production, including filming and editing.
