The opportunity
The Digital Content and Engagement Coordinator will support the AKO Storytelling Institute team in delivering digital communications and marketing the institute events and activities. The role will focus on engaging both external audiences and internal stakeholders for the institute.
This is a standalone role in Institute but you will work alongside the UAL Communications Department. The post holder will use their creative skills to develop and/or coordinate the production of impactful content that showcases the Institute's work from Labs and the Fellowship programme to public events and research activities. This content will be delivered across our social media channels, newsletter, website and print materials.
The successful candidate will be an organised, enthusiastic and hard-working team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills. They will also be digitally savvy, have excellent IT knowledge and skills. Excellent command of English plus meticulous attention to detail is essential, as are good researching skills.
Your profile
Degree in Communications/Journalism/Writing related subject or relevant equivalent experience
Experience creating content for websites, social media, blogs and newsletters ideally in a culture or Higher Education setting. As well as experience of basic design tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe Creative Suite), email marketing platforms (e.g. Mailchimp) and the Microsoft Office suite.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent ability to write in plain English adapting the message for a diverse audience in an inclusive and accessible way
Strong editorial skills with attention to detail in proofreading and content development.
Advanced organisational, planning and project management skills, managing multiple tasks and deadlines, with the ability to think ahead, prioritise and work flexibly and accurately when under pressure
