Through exhibitions, collections, live programming, digital, broadcast and publishing, we create opportunities for people to think deeply about the links between science, medicine, life and art.

We are looking for a Digital Content Manager to join our team.

Where in Wellcome will I be working?

As a Digital Content Manager you will be leading the Digital Content team and working closely with colleagues across Wellcome Collection. You will report to the Head, Curatorial, working alongside the Curatorial team in the Curatorial and Public Practice Department in Wellcome Collection.

What will I be doing?

You will devise, manage and be responsible for the curatorial and commissioning approach of Wellcome Collection\xe2\x80\x99s Digital Content strategy. You will produce meaningful interactions with our online audiences that contributes to our vision of a world where everyone\xe2\x80\x99s experience of health matters.

In practice this means that you will need to:

Be responsible for devising a curatorial and commissioning approach for digital content that is audience focused and builds on our collections as well as public facing activities.

Manage the Digital Content team and oversee the production and promotion of timely, relevant content related to public programmes, collections, and key themes. including commissioning new stories to reach and engage with an online audience.

Work with colleagues across Wellcome to support the development of new product features, ensuring that content strategy is a key part of product development.

Build relationships with external contributors to gain an understanding of the landscape outside of Wellcome Collection and how this influences our work and increases the impact of our content, including but not limited to the syndication of content, and creative/artistic uses of collections material.

We are looking for someone who is highly motivated and passionate about the importance of engaging online audiences. You will ensure that our digital content is welcoming, engaging and accessible to everyone, in particular d/Deaf, disabled and neuro-divergent people.

We are looking for somebody who:

Has experience managing a Digital Content team, with a track record of producing high quality online content.

Has experience writing, editing and commissioning content for a diverse range of audiences.

Has a demonstrable track record of making and explaining sound editorial decisions.

Has excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Contribute to a diverse and inclusive culture across the organisation, working across departments.
