Job Summary


We are currently seeking to recruit 2 Digital Co-ordinators on a 2 year Fixed-Term basis. The Digital Co-ordinator will support with the delivery of any digital/IT initiatives enabling primary care to move towards a digital first approach, where patients can easily access the advice, support, and treatment they need using digital and online tools as well as identification of new technology to support NHSE priorities and SGPA Strategy.

The post-holder will work as part of a wider team, ensuring there is integration with the breadth of the organisations activities and ensure the highest standards of care are provided for all patients who benefit from the services

Main duties of the job



Work with the member practices, the ICB and other stakeholders to support the development of General Practice at scale.

Develop networks with a range of system partners to ensure projects complement services elsewhere in the local health economy.

Manage the development and curation of clinical and patient information for primary care in Sunderland.

Interact with NHS systems such as GP TeamNet/EMIS/SIRMS to ensure compliance with expected standards.

Provide support for the delivery of TeamNet Clinical Support Information.

Maintain local document management systems.

Support The Digital Programme manager in the delivery of the 3-year digital plan.

Develop and maintain project plans under the supervision of the Programme Manager.

Attend project implementation groups to support the administration of these groups.

Attend meetings with partner organisations designed to develop and integrate services across the city.

To work flexibly within the team to ensure the work of the whole team can be effectively managed.

Assist with data and information analysis to support project delivery.

Carry out research to support development of new initiatives.

Collect and manage qualitative and quantitative data indicators.

Prepare, monitor and maintain budget information relating to projects.

Support the completion of monthly or quarterly financial reconciliations.

Produce monthly reports to highlight performance against contract objectives.

Experience of working in a primary care environment, or equivalent. An appreciation of the nature of GPs and general practice. Experience in comms and engagement. Experience of working in a rapidly changing environment. Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams. Experience of supporting programmes of change. Experience of project or service development. Experience in GP TeamNet or equivalent document management system.
Desirable

Working knowledge of key regional and national strategic healthcare developments, particularly as they relate to general practice. Experience of working across the health care system with a range of partners and stakeholders Awareness of political challenges when working across systems in healthcare. Experience with social media and managing websites. Working knowledge of EMIS Management/templates
