We're seeking a creative professional with expertise in graphic and web design, complemented by strong capabilities in photography and videography. This role requires genuine design proficiency plus demonstrable competency in visual content creation.
Location:
Bristol (hybrid working)
Salary:
Starting 31,000 - 35,500 depending on experience
Start date:
Immediate start available for the right candidate
The Role
We need someone who can deliver professional results across four core areas:
Graphic & Web Design (Primary Focus)
- Creating compelling visual content across multiple formats including brand materials, marketing collateral, social media graphics, presentation decks, and print materials. You'll also design sophisticated, user-focused websites from concept through to development handover, including comprehensive UI/UX work in Figma, wireframing, prototyping, and presenting design rationale to clients. You'll work collaboratively with developers to ensure accurate implementation. Design work spans everything from corporate reports to restaurant menus, requiring genuine versatility in approach.
Photography (Strong Competency Required)
- Planning and executing professional photography for client campaigns including product photography, lifestyle imagery, corporate headshots, and event coverage. Post-production capabilities including editing, retouching, and colour grading are essential. While you don't need to be a specialist photographer, you must be comfortable shooting professionally across various scenarios.
Videography (Strong Competency Required)
- Shooting and editing video content for diverse applications including social media, websites, and marketing campaigns. You'll handle the production process from concept through to final post-production, including editing, colour grading, and sound design. Again, specialist-level expertise isn't required, but you must be capable of delivering high-quality video content independently.
What Makes This Position Distinctive
Our client portfolio spans multiple sectors and industries. You'll work with corporate finance firms, hospitality brands, technology startups, healthcare providers, and traditional businesses. This diversity means you might be designing brand guidelines for a corporate client one week, shooting product photography for an e-commerce business the next, then creating video content for a restaurant brand.
This variety demands genuine creative adaptability. You'll need to authentically represent each client's brand identity rather than applying a uniform aesthetic approach. We value designers who bring fresh ideas and creative thinking to every brief - you'll be expected to contribute concepts and challenge conventional approaches, not simply execute instructions.
Beyond core creative work, you'll gain valuable exposure to the full scope of integrated marketing campaigns. Working alongside our search, social media, and marketing strategy teams, you'll develop a comprehensive understanding of how creative assets function within broader campaign frameworks. This cross-disciplinary experience is rarely available in purely creative roles and will significantly enhance your marketing knowledge.
Our Bristol location places you in one of the UK's most vibrant creative cities, with excellent transport connections and proximity to clients across the South West and beyond.
Essential Requirements
Experience
Minimum 3 years in a creative agency environment
Agency experience is essential; in-house creative roles operate differently and don't provide the relevant background
Portfolio Requirements
Your application must include a comprehensive portfolio demonstrating:
Graphic design work across various applications (brand materials, marketing collateral, social media, print)
Multiple website projects showing your complete design process (research, wireframes, iterations, final designs)
A range of photography across different styles and applications
Video projects demonstrating both production and post-production capabilities
We understand you may be stronger in design than video/photography, but your portfolio must demonstrate competency across all areas.
