About the role

In this role, you'll be leading and supporting software and web-based design projects. Your responsibilities will include conducting customer and competitor analysis, reviewing sitemaps, developing information architecture, creating wireframes and stylescapes, and designing individual website pages. You'll collaborate closely with our marketing and development teams to enhance our existing portfolio of client projects, present design concepts to clients, and refine those concepts based on their feedback.
A key part of the role involves continuously reviewing and evaluating our design process to improve our client offering. You'll also work in close partnership with the engineering team to understand the technical requirements and implications of your designs, whilst consulting with the project management team to ensure all client needs are met effectively.
Essential skills you need to have

High level of proficiency in Adobe XD or Figma
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
2+ years' experience in wire-framing and designing websites/web applications within an agency environment - A portfolio or examples of previous projects would be required
A passion for all things design including typography, motion, copy, and imagery.
Confident working with and presenting to clients
Ability to multitask, prioritise work and cope with competing demands
Capable of working independently, and having responsibility as an individual, as well as being able to integrate and operate as part of a team
Knowledge of UX and accessibility best practice
Familiarity with common scheduling, task and issue tracking tools such as Jira
Experience in brand development/creation would be an advantage
Understanding of content management systems
Understanding of frontend web technologies (HTML, CSS and JavaScript) would be an advantage
