Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Digital Engineering Lead to establish and grow our brand-new Digital Engineering Department from the ground up.

This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of our digital service offering, building the infrastructure, team, and processes that will support innovation and operational excellence across the business.

Working closely with our Engineering Team Lead and Operations Director, you'll combine strategic leadership with hands-on technical work, ensuring our customers receive exceptional digital engineering support across the UK.

What you'll be doing



Lead the creation and management of the Digital Engineering Department, setting standards, systems, and best practices.

Install, service, and remotely troubleshoot a wide range of digital imaging and x-ray equipment (including OPG, CBCT, and intraoral scanners).

Deliver training and mentoring to engineers on the servicing, repair, validation, and maintenance of digital systems.

Provide expert technical support and guidance to both customers and colleagues.

Work alongside the Operations Director to develop and grow our digital service contracts, helping drive revenue and customer loyalty.

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers.

Ensure accurate documentation of all work, parts used, and customer interactions.

About you



At least 5 years' experience as a Digital Engineer, Field Service Engineer, or similar.

Familiarity with (or enthusiasm to work with) leading brands such as Dexis, Planmeca, Vatech, Carestream, and DURR.

Confident leading a department, setting up new systems, and training other engineers.

Excellent technical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

A natural communicator who enjoys supporting customers and colleagues alike.

Organised and detail-oriented -- you take pride in doing things properly.

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when needed.

Enthusiastic, proactive, and passionate about innovation in digital dental technology.
