We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a Digital Experience Executive to join our incredibly talented and passionate team. You\xe2\x80\x99ll work with us to create engaging web content and exceptional digital experiences to support people affected by dementia.

Our website provides vital advice and support to millions of people affected by dementia and inspires our supporters to be a force for change by campaigning, joining events and fundraising. We work with people affected by dementia to tell their stories and create content that reflects the full range of their experiences. Informed by user research and analytics, we seek to optimise our digital platforms, making them easier for our audience to understand and use.

As well as designing and optimising web content, the successful candidate will advise colleagues around the organisation on best digital content practices, such as writing for the web, SEO and accessibility. They will collaborate with teams to ensure our digital content always represents the needs of people affected by dementia and our supporters.

This is a homeworking role, but you will be required to travel to attend some meetings and team-days, so you must reside in the UK, have the correct right to work documents to work in the UK and be comfortable/willing to travel to our flagship offices (London or Birmingham) if/when required.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have experience of designing and publishing website content using a CMS. We are seeking a candidate with experience of working collaboratively with content editors and authors.

  • You will use analytics, UX and SEO tools to review content performance and understand our website users.
  • You will also have opportunities to work with web developers on testing and releasing new website functionality and improvements.
  • You will have excellent editorial and communication skills and a solid understanding of the key the principals of good content design.
  • You will be passionate about sourcing, writing, and publishing content that supports people affected by dementia and drives supporters to act on dementia related issues.
  • You will inspire staff across the organisation by contributing ideas and advice on creating engaging digital content. This will include reviewing and updating existing pages and working on new digital content projects.
  • You will be joining our creative and user-focused Digital Experience team at Alzheimer\xe2\x80\x99s Society, reporting to the Digital Content Manager
Person specification:
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Work collaboratively and be able to prioritise your workload effectively and remain solution focussed throughout your areas of work.
  • Strong interpersonal and interpretation skills will allow you to have open jargon-free conversations with the business.
  • Excellent organisational and timekeeping skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Be a team player, supporting colleagues when there are deadlines, and who knows when to ask for help themselves.
  • Be a self-starter and incredibly motivated.
