Training & Beauty by Hampson is looking for a proactive and customer-focused
Digital Marketing & Customer Service Assistant
to support our growing salon and training academy.
This is a varied, hands-on role combining
customer service, sales support, and digital marketing
, ideal for someone who enjoys working with people while also developing their skills in online marketing and brand engagement. You will play a key role in delivering an excellent customer and student experience while supporting the business's digital presence and growth. You will be instrumental in developing and executing digital marketing strategies that enhance brand visibility, drive engagement, and boost online sales and bookings.
Key Responsibilities
Reception & Customer Service
Welcome clients and students to the salon and academy, providing a friendly and professional first impression
Answer phone calls, emails, and online messages promptly
Manage bookings, cancellations, and appointment scheduling
Check clients and students in for appointments or courses, ensuring forms and payments are completed accurately
Maintain a clean, organised, and professional reception and waiting area
Provide general administrative support to the team
Maximising therapist and tutor columns to fully booked days through the use of falsh deals and other forms of marketing
Sales & Customer Engagement
Promote salon services, training courses, and retail products to clients and students
Process sales transactions both in person and online
Track enquiries and follow up to maximise bookings and conversions
Support merchandising and in-salon displays to promote retail products and offers
Assist with promotions, campaigns, and bundled offers to drive sales
Digital Marketing & Content Support
Assist with creating, scheduling, and publishing content across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok - with the view to introduce many more)
Support email marketing campaigns, newsletters, and digital communications - blogs and podcasts, video snipetts of treatments and courses
Help maintain and update website content to ensure accuracy of services, products, and courses whilst introducing new themes
Monitor engagement and support reporting on digital marketing performance
Customer & Student Communication
Respond to enquiries regarding services, courses, and products in a timely and professional manner
Follow up with clients and students after appointments or courses to encourage repeat bookings
Support aftercare communication and handle complaints or issues, escalating where appropriate
General Administration & Support
Support day-to-day office operations including data entry, filing, stock checks, and record-keeping
Assist with student enrolments and course administration
Attend internal training sessions to support ongoing development
hold weekly meetings with MDs and Stakeholders to go over analytics and proposals in powerpoint presentations
Skills & Qualities We're Looking For
Friendly, professional, and customer-focused approach
Skilled in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite for content development.
Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to craft compelling messages tailored to target audiences.
Experience with keyword research tools and content management systems to optimize online presence.
Ability to analyze data effectively using analytics tools to inform decision-making and improve campaign performance.
Strong communication skills with a customer-centric approach for delivering outstanding service across digital channels.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Organised and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
Confident using social media, email, and Microsoft Office
Interest in digital marketing, customer engagement, and brand growth
Enthusiastic, reliable, and self-motivated with a positive attitude and the ability to work off initiative
