Working directly under the Digital & Data Manager, you will manage and develop Motis' social media platforms, create compelling content (including video), and help deliver both online and in-person engagement initiatives. You will play a key role in promoting Motis' range of products and services while ensuring customers receive timely, relevant and informative communications.
This is an on-site role based across our Dover Port facilities (Dover FSA) and Motis Business Centre in Cheriton, Folkestone, ideally suited to someone local to Kent with strong creative, organisational, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Marketing & Social Media
Manage and maintain Motis' social media channels (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, X, TikTok and other relevant platforms).
Develop and grow audience engagement, with a particular focus on European freight drivers.
Produce regular content including posts, updates, images, video clips, reels, and stories.
Monitor platform performance, analyse data, and implement improvements to increase reach and engagement.
Ensure messaging is consistent, brand-aligned, and targeted to the appropriate audience groups.
Content Creation
Create high-quality digital content, including promotional videos, informational graphics, news updates, and campaign material.
Capture footage and photography on-site at Motis locations, events, and customer-facing activities.
Work with internal teams to identify stories, updates, and opportunities for engaging content.
Assist in the development of marketing collateral, presentations, and digital assets.
Customer Engagement
Support communications that inform and guide customers about our operational services, updates, and industry changes.
Build relationships with the driver community, ensuring our services remain visible, accessible, and trusted.
Attend and support in-person events, trade activities, and customer engagement days.
Respond to queries and interactions on social platforms in a timely and professional manner.
General
Contribute ideas and take initiative to develop new approaches and campaign ideas.
Work independently and manage workload across multiple locations.
Support wider digital transformation projects led by the Digital & Data Manager.
Person Specification
Essential Skills & Experience
Experience managing social media channels in a professional or commercial environment.
Strong creative skills, with confidence producing digital content including short-form video.
Competence using social media management tools, Canva/Adobe tools, or equivalent.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage priorities without close supervision.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between Dover and Folkestone sites.
Desirable Skills
Experience in the transport, logistics, freight or driver services sector.
Understanding of the European driver community and international transport environment.
Basic photography or videography experience.
Experience with event support or on-site engagement activities.
Awareness of SEO, online advertising, or analytics tools.
