About the Role
The Digital Marketing Executive - Events & Strategic Partnerships will lead the planning, delivery, and evaluation of in-person and online events, while also managing relationships with strategic business partners. This role combines event management, relationship development, and generalist marketing capabilities to increase brand visibility, drive course applications, and support wider marketing goals.
As the specialist owner of two key work streams -
event marketing
and
strategic partnerships
- the postholder will be expected to work autonomously and collaboratively across the organisation, liaising with internal teams, external partners, and faculty. A willingness to travel across the UK and a proactive, personable approach to external engagement is essential.
This is a hybrid role, with at least one day per week in the office, unless travelling for events. A driving licence and access to a vehicle are required.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Management
Plan, organise, and deliver a calendar of physical and virtual events (e.g. trade shows, conferences, virtual open days).
Manage logistics for each event, including venue and travel bookings, collateral and merchandise inventory, event equipment, and promotional materials.
Represent the brand at events - setting up the stand, talking confidently with delegates, and supporting speakers and faculty in attendance.
Maintain a record of contacts acquired at events and monitor post-event engagement through to application, working with the marketing team to optimise conversion.
Oversee event budgets, ensuring effective allocation and reporting on spend.
Coordinate pre- and post-event communications (emails, social media, internal briefings).
Manage faculty liaison to ensure appropriate medical support is represented at events.
Strategic Partnerships
Develop and maintain relationships with online strategic partners (e.g. professional societies, member organisations).
Negotiate partnership agreements that offer their members benefits (such as discounts) while driving new audiences to Learna's portfolio.
Coordinate joint marketing activity with partners, including publication of blog posts, newsletter features, backlinks, and social media mentions.
Track and report on the impact of each partnership using campaign metrics and CRM data.
General Marketing Support
Contribute to marketing campaign activity across email, social, web, and paid channels where required.
Create copy for marketing emails, event announcements, and partnership communications.
Support the team with event-related content creation and scheduling.
Use marketing platforms including ActiveCampaign, WordPress, and Canva to support campaign delivery.
Key Skills, Behaviours, Competency and Experience Required
Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Willingness to travel regularly within the UK and work occasional evenings or weekends around events.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence in networking and public-facing roles.
Experience in event planning and execution, with a detail-oriented mindset.
Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams and functions.
Strong copywriting and content development skills.
Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation tools (e.g. ActiveCampaign).
Data-driven mindset with the ability to report on campaign and event performance.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Events, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in marketing, event management, or partnership development.
Previous experience in the education, healthcare, or membership organisation sectors is advantageous.
Must hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle for travel.
