Job Description

At Howells, we combine a fresh and forward-thinking approach with a client-focused, local feel to deliver a range of award-winning, quality services.

In line with the firm's ambitious growth strategy, the Digital Marketing Manager will play a key role in expanding our market presence, supporting client acquisition, and enhancing the firm's reputation within the legal sector. This includes developing target campaigns that showcase our expertise across practice areas, leveraging data-driven insights to identify opportunities, and collaborating closely with partners and practice teams to ensure marketing initiatives align with the firm's business objectives and long-term growth plans.

Deliver the firm's digital marketing strategy, translating firm-wide growth priorities and sector plans into effective, measurable digital activity. Manage the end-to-end B2B digital marketing funnel, ensuring campaigns support lead generation, pipeline development, and enquiry quality. Plan, execute, and optimise digital campaigns across paid, owned, and earned channels, with a focus on priority practice areas and client segments. Manage paid media activity and digital budgets, ensuring spend is well governed, targeted, and delivers demonstrable ROI. Work closely with partners, fee earners, and the wider Marketing & BD team, providing digital expertise and shaping effective online propositions and campaigns. Own day-to-day website performance, SEO, and CRO, ensuring content, user journeys, and functionality support credibility, compliance, and conversion. Use analytics, GA4, CRM, and platform data to monitor performance, report insights, and continuously improve digital effectiveness. Develop and manage email marketing and marketing automation, supporting relationship-led communications and lead-nurture activity. Apply marketing technology and AI tools appropriately to improve efficiency, personalisation, and campaign performance. Ensure compliance with brand, regulatory, and data protection standards across all digital activity and suppliers. Any other duties as directed.

What we're looking for:

5+ years' experience in a digital marketing role with hands-on channel management. Confident using GA4, Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and CMS platforms. Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insight into action. Stays ahead of latest trends and any platform changes to maintain a competitive edge and ensure best practices are followed.
