The Role
We are seeking a
Digital Marketing Manager
to lead our marketing function and help shape the way we engage with our audiences. This role blends strategy, creativity, and analytics--you'll be responsible for developing impactful campaigns, building our digital presence, and ensuring our marketing activity supports both our retail and consultancy arms.
You'll be part strategist, part hands-on executor: equally at home mapping out a year-long digital roadmap and diving into ad campaign data to optimise ROI.
Key Responsibilities & Day-to-Day
Strategy & Planning
Develop and implement an integrated digital marketing strategy across multiple brands (retail, events, consultancy).
Own the annual digital roadmap--budget allocation, KPI setting, and reporting to senior leadership.
Campaign Management
Plan, execute, and optimise paid and organic campaigns across Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms.
Lead multi-channel product/event launches, coordinating with sales and events teams.
Content & Brand
Oversee content creation for websites, email, and social platforms--ensuring messaging is consistent, engaging, and on-brand.
Manage relationships with creative freelancers, designers, and photographers.
Data & Insights
Analyse performance metrics (CTR, ROAS, engagement rates, conversions) and translate insights into action.
Produce monthly dashboards for leadership, highlighting wins and growth opportunities.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Supervise one Marketing Executive and external agency partners.
Collaborate closely with Retail and Events teams to align marketing with business priorities.
A typical week might include:
Reviewing PPC campaign performance and adjusting targeting.
Briefing a freelance designer on event branding.
Presenting quarterly marketing KPIs to the Managing Director.
Hosting a brainstorm with the Events team to plan pre-launch buzz.
Must-Have Requirements
Minimum 4 years' experience in digital marketing, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Strong track record in managing multi-channel campaigns (PPC, SEO, social, and email).
Confident with Google Ads, Google Analytics 4, and paid social campaign management.
Proven ability to translate analytics into actionable insights.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Leadership experience--mentoring or line-managing junior staff.
Based within commutable distance to Chelmsford (role requires regular on-site presence).
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience in

Salary & Benefits
Salary:
42,000-50,000 DOE
