Due to an internal restructure, we are currently advertising this brand new role of Digital Marketing Office at The Alnwick Garden & Lilidorei.

Working closely with the Social Media & Content Officer - and part of the Marketing & Communications team - you will provide a full digital marketing service to all aspects of the organisation.

The latest addition to The Alnwick Garden offer is Lilidorei

Lilidorei is the brainchild of The Duchess of Northumberland and is a multimillion-pound fantasy-themed recreational attraction located in the heart of Alnwick and will be part of The Alnwick Garden.

Role Purpose



As Digital Marketing Officer, you will be responsible for planning, executing and optimising digital campaigns across web, email, search and paid media channels. You'll play a vital role in ensuring our digital touchpoints are effective, engaging and aligned with commercial objectives.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong grasp of digital tools and platforms, a performance-driven mindset, and the ability to translate data into insight. You'll work closely with the Social Media and Content Marketing Officer, the Strategic Head of Marketing and wider team to support major campaigns.

Duties & Responsibilities



Website & SEO



Manage and update website content using WordPress.

Work with the Head of Marketing and web developers to improve user experience, conversion rates and SEO performance.

Monitor site analytics and performance through Google Analytics and other tools.

Email Marketing



Plan, design and schedule targeted email campaigns using Mailchimp.

Segment audiences and tailor content to optimise open rates and engagement.

Report on performance and test subject lines, layouts and calls to action.

Paid Advertising & PPC



Support the planning and execution of digital advertising campaigns across Google Ads, Facebook Ads and other relevant platforms. in conjunction with the Social Media and Content Marketing Officer

Monitor ad performance and recommend optimisations to improve ROI.

Collaborate with agencies and designers on ad creative and audience targeting.

Content & Campaign Support



Assist with landing page creation, A/B testing and user journey optimisation.

Ensure all digital campaigns are consistent with brand tone, messaging and creative direction.

Collaborate with the Social Media and Content Officer to align organic and paid digital content.

Analytics & Reporting



Monitor and report on key digital metrics across all platforms.

Provide regular updates and actionable insights to inform ongoing activity.

Maintain performance dashboards for senior leadership.

Any other duties as requested by the Strategic Head of Marketing and Communications.

Person Specification.



The successful applicant will have

Essential:



Minimum 2 years' experience in a digital marketing role.

Strong understanding of website management, email marketing, and analytics tools.

Experience with WordPress and email platforms (e.g. Mailchimp).

Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager.

Confident with data analysis, campaign tracking and reporting.

Excellent organisational and time management skills.

Desirable:



Experience in the tourism, attractions, or events sectors.

SEO knowledge and experience.

Understanding of user journey mapping and CRO (conversion rate optimisation).

Basic HTML/CSS knowledge is a bonus.
