Role Overview
We're seeking a Digital Merchandising and UX Specialist to enhance the online presentation of our products and improve the overall shopping experience. You'll update website content, like banners and drop-down menus, while applying UX best practices to optimise customer journeys. This role works closely with marketing, design, and product data teams to deliver a seamless, visually engaging e-commerce experience. An interest in tabletop games or wargaming is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities
Develop & Implement Digital Merchandising Strategies. Craft and execute plans to effectively showcase products online, aligning with overall business and marketing objectives.
Optimise Online Product Presentation. Ensure products are presented with high-quality images, compelling descriptions, and relevant information, making it easy for customers to find and understand products.
Enhance User Experience (UX). Utilise UX principles to create a seamless and enjoyable online shopping journey, from product discovery to checkout.
Analyse Data & User Insights. Monitor website performance, analyse user behaviour, use data to inform merchandising and marketing decisions, and identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams. Work closely with marketing, design, development, and other teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution of merchandising strategies.
Manage Online Content & Promotions. Oversee the creation and maintenance of engaging product pages, landing pages, and promotional content, while ensuring accuracy and consistency across all digital channels.
Maintain & Update Website Content. Ensure the website remains consistently up to date by implementing timely content changes, such as homepage banners, promotional assets, and product placements. Regularly update product listings, category pages, and featured sections in line with marketing campaigns, product launches, and seasonal priorities.
Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends. Stay informed with the latest e-commerce trends, digital marketing technologies, and best practices to optimise online merchandising efforts.
Requirements
Hands-on UX experience
Basic understanding of SEO
Strong copywriting and proofreading skills
Familiar with CMS platforms and website updates
Comfortable using web analytics tools
Solid grasp of e-commerce and digital merchandising
Creative mindset with a strong eye for design and visual storytelling
Interest in tabletop games, wargaming, or board games
