Digital Print Operator & Finishing Assistant



Are you a whiz with computers and have a keen eye for detail when it comes to print finishing? We're looking for an enthusiastic and meticulous individual to join our fast-paced print shop. If you thrive on variety and take pride in producing high-quality print materials, this could be the perfect role for you!

About the Role



This is a versatile, hands-on role where you will be responsible for the entire life cycle of a print job, from job start to final product. Your primary duties will be split between operating our main digital production press and assisting with a variety of print finishing tasks.

Key Responsibilities



Digital Press Operation:

Set up, calibrate, and operate our high-speed digital press.

Perform checks on customer files.

Monitor print quality and consistency throughout the run, performing necessary maintenance and troubleshooting common errors.

Manage digital stock inventory and ensure the press is always loaded and ready for the next job.

Print Finishing & Bindery:



Execute various finishing tasks including cutting, creasing, scoring, folding, drilling, padding, and binding (e.g., spiral, wire, or stapling).

Operate and maintain standard finishing equipment such as guillotines, folders, and laminators.

Perform quality checks on finished materials to ensure they meet client specifications.

Assist with packaging, labeling, and preparation of print jobs for delivery or shipping.

What You'll Need



A good attitude to working hard and excellent troubleshooting skills. Full training will be provided.

A high degree of attention to detail and commitment to producing zero-defect work.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple jobs concurrently, and meet tight deadlines.

Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift materials up to appx 30kg. (most packs might be less than 5kg)

Familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) a bonus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 24,420.00-36,766.42 per year
