Digital Printing Apprentice - Glasgow

Eurostampa UK Ltd - A progressive print company specialising in high quality printing of labels, primarily for the Spirit Bottling Industry Whisky/Drinks Industry has the following vacancy within our Digital Printing Department.


The successful candidate will work within our Pressure Sensitive Labels (Self Adhesive) Department and will be registered as a Modern Apprentice. You will study towards a nationally recognised Scottish Vocational Qualification certificate which will involve structured on and off the job training.


The role involves the production of digitally printed self-adhesive labels.


Please note, this role will be based at our new site in Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire


Candidates should demonstrate competencies and skills in the following areas:

Skills:-

Computer literate Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills Be self-motivated and able to use initiative Be an effective communicator, both written and verbal Be computer literate Have good attention to detail Be able to work unsupervised and able to resolve problems/identify and implement improvements

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):-

Complete Modern Apprenticeship in PRESS Web Fed Digital Printing Pathway to eventually run state of the art printing presses ABG Complete relevant units set by Attain Training (external training provider) in a timely manner and ensure all records and logbooks of work performed are maintained Ensure quality checks are carried out efficiently General machine maintenance
