Digital Product Manager

Job Description


As digital product manager you are responsible for driving the product lifecycle, from customer discovery to supporting the resulting delivery. The product manager role is to drive the product strategy by understanding our partner and customer needs alongside the broader market context
You will be working closely with commercial and delivery teams to identify and drive a measurable improvement to customer experience, commercial outcomes and colleague support.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Plan and prioritise the product backlog for end-to-end delivery of product features
  • Working closely with UX to map end-to-end customer journeys, designing new services, and identifying pain points and opportunities
  • Drive a concrete digital product strategy and craft a short term and long term product vision
  • Oversee requirements discovery, solution design, user story writing, feature development, and user acceptance testing
  • Understand and interpret business requirements and translate into product backlog items for delivery
  • Maintain an open dialogue between stakeholders, wider team and customers to ensure feedback is captured for continuous product improvement
  • Continuously engage with key stakeholders and SMEs across functional areas to effectively ideate, deliver and implement researched based initiatives to drive commercial value to the business
  • Employ a test and learn approach, leveraging insight from customer research and MVT capability for data-driven decision making
  • Effectively present vision, progress and learnings as well as design decisions and rationale to key stakeholders throughout the business
  • Empower employees to take responsibility for their role, objectives and own development. Delegate responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
  • Ability to solve technical problems
  • Good commercial and business acumen
  • You need to have a good understanding of how to manage daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews and retrospectives as well as end of sprint demos
  • This is a technical role that requires an in-depth understanding of product development lifecycles, qualitative research and quantitative testing
  • Digital product management / owner certified or similar is preferable
