We have an exciting Digital Services team opportunity for a Digital Project Manager to work collaboratively across the Trust and wider NHS Wales, on the implementation a new Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration ( ePMA ) system.

An ambitious digital strategy underpins this, which will revolutionise the way in which we deliver services - from co-producing innovative technologies, working on digital inclusion, to embedding data & insight into our everyday. Our team are here to deliver new digital solutions and excellent everyday digital service, to improve services and outcomes.

We recognise that successful digital transformation and service is as much to do with our people and culture as it is to do with technology. This is a truly special opportunity and we are looking for talented and passionate people who share our values and can help us realise the Trust's ambitions.

The ePMA project will enable us to modernise and transform our current paper-based prescribing and medicines administration process across the Trust. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in managing largescale complex digital projects through to delivery, preferably within a health and social care environment.

Assist in the provision of project management by supporting a portfolio of service improvement projects undertaken across the Trust and act as a project manager for specific digital projects. Provide an understanding of all projects within Trust and identify what resources / input is required from the Digital department. Assist Digital colleagues in providing accurate timescales for work to be undertaken so this can be accurately reflected in project plans and inform go-live / project implementation dates. Work with the Senior Managers and Supervisors across the Trust to allocate resources to project work, including prioritisation of work and managing conflicting resources. Produce and update plans and documentation. Provide support, guidance and training for project teams and staff throughout the project lifecycle, using agreed project documentation

Supervise project team staff and work with other project managers in the organisation in the production of plans, documentation and guidance

Assist the Digital Programme Team in continually developing project management methodologies across the entire division and Velindre University NHS Trust. Monitor project budgets during the life of the project and ensure alignment with approved expenditure and/or authorised business case as required.
