We are looking for our next Digital Services Librarian.

About the role

Based in the Bodleian Social Science Library, which supports teaching and research across the Social Sciences Division, this role leads key digital services including digitisation, copyright support and online reading list provision. You will oversee the SSL's scan and deliver workflow, provide copyright guidance, and act as the SSL lead for the ORLO reading list system. The post also supports acquisitions and technical services, liaises with IT Services on digital projects, and contributes to the safe operation of the Oxford SafePod. You will take part in frontline service duties, including evenings and occasional weekends.

Due to the nature of this post, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a satisfactory Basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check due to responsibilities for SafePod coordination.

About You

You will bring strong digital skills, accuracy and an organised approach to managing workflows. You will be confident using and learning new systems, able to analyse information to support decision making, and comfortable providing training to colleagues and users.

You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships in a busy library environment. An understanding of copyright in a teaching context, experience with digitisation processes or reading list systems, and familiarity with library management systems will be helpful, but training will be provided.
