Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting building surveys, collecting spatial data, and providing accurate measurements to support construction, and planning projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong foundation surveying and GIS technologies to contribute to diverse projects within a professional environment.

The Freelance Digital Surveyor will provide professional digital surveying services to DRC on a project-by-project basis. Services include on-site spatial data capture and post-processing of survey data.

The Contractor operates independently and is responsible for delivering agreed outputs in line with DRC quality standards and project timelines.

Responsibilities

Capture accurate spatial data of properties using Leica laser scanning equipment, including

BLK2GO, BLK360, and RTC360

Independently carry out on-site surveys, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and efficiency Process and register raw survey data into usable digital formats using approved software workflows Travel within London, across the UK, and occasionally internationally, including extended assignments where required Act as a professional representative of DRC during client and site interactions Maintain and correctly handle all surveying equipment while in use Comply with site rules, health & safety requirements, and access protocols Stay informed on developments in digital surveying technology and contribute feedback to improve workflows where appropriate

Contractor Requirements

Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technology, hardware, and software platforms

Proven capability to work independently on site with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail, spatial awareness, and commitment to data accuracy Professional and presentable in all client-facing environments Excellent communication skills and reliability in meeting agreed deadlines Availability for travel, including extended periods where projects require Valid UK driving licence Ability to provide own transport where required (unless otherwise agreed)

Pay: 27,432.80-64,719.02 per year
