Purpose of the Role




As a Digital Workplace Technician, you'll be the go to expert for all things IT supporting both factory and office users. You'll play a key role in keeping systems running smoothly, solving problems fast, and helping shape the future of IT services onsite. Working closely with site and the Birmingham support team, you'll help drive innovation, resilience, and continuous improvement in a dynamic, fast paced environment.

What You'll Be Doing



Keep local IT services running at peak performance, using proactive measures to minimise downtime especially in production critical areas. Support and maintain traceability systems and bespoke factory floor applications & equipment. Deliver day today, IT support across hardware & software in a highspeed, everchanging environment. Ensure the site's infrastructure is secure, resilient and ready for anything. Help develop and test disaster recovery plans aligned with business continuity goals. Own and manage issue tracking through internal systems, ensuring timely resolution. Set up and configure desktop and laptop hardware for new and existing users. Collaborate with IT teams across ABP UK and liaise with onsite department managers. Provide out of hours support when required.

What You'll Bring



Proven experience in IT support, ideally in manufacturing or fast paced environments. Experience with Networking, Microsoft 365, and VMware is highly advantageous. A proactive, analytical mindset with a passion for solving problems and improving services. Hands on experience with IT systems, infrastructure, and hardware-you're not afraid to roll up your sleeves. Resilience under pressure and the ability to stay focused and effective in high demand situations. Experience introducing or enhancing IT services and systems. Excellent communication and collaboration skills-you're a team player who can also work independently. Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing business needs.

Additional Requirements



This is a fully onsite role
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential, as travel between sites may be required to assist with support or projects.

07:00 - 15:30
