We are currently seeking a Dining Room Assistant for Monday to Friday inclusive 7am - 2pm at our lovely Care Home in Priory Mews, Dartford, Kent.

The role of the Dining Room assistant is to assist in the safe and effective running of the Dining room services. The Dining assistant will assist with the delivery of meals to residents and to maintain high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness to keep the environment clean and safe at all times.

Preferably with a background in care although training will be provided for the right candidate.

Principle Responsibilities

Cleaning the Dining room/kitchenette, including washing work/table.

Carrying out basic food hygiene preparation tasks.

Ensuring all trolleys are to be transferred from dining room to kitchen for restock/cleaning.

All tables are to be prepared ready for dining with cutlery, serviettes, glasses, water/juice jugs and flowers.

Hot drinks to be provided to residents sitting in dining area.

Loading and unloading the trolleys for breakfast, lunch and super

Helping to serve meals to residents by carrying the food trays to resident's rooms

Deliver the hot meals to residents sitting in dining area

Work in accordance with Health & Safety guidelines

Liaising with the nurses regarding food menus.

Assisting residents with food and drink when required both in dining area and in their rooms.

Preparing and serving drinks and snacks during the day to residents in their rooms and in communal areas.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21 per hour
