Job Location: Belfast (Hybrid)
Concern operates a hybrid mode, staff are expected to come into their base office once per week or the monthly equivalent i.e. 4 times per month. Staff are also able to flex their start and finish times between the hours of 7am to 7pm daily.
About the role:
The Direct Marketing Executive will play a key role in managing and reviewing donor recruitment and development campaigns in order to maintain and grow income to Concern Worldwide (UK) from individual regular and cash donors.
Main duties & Responsibilities:
  • Support Senior Direct Marketing Executive in running and developing a growing digital fundraising programme, including paid search and paid social across our Alternative Gifts trading, Emergency fundraising and other campaigns
  • Working closely with other key stakeholders in Concern's digital marketing, such as the Communications and Policy and Campaign directorates to deliver engaging digital content to potential and current Concern supporters
  • Managing bespoke supporter journeys and email marketing to retain donors and raise funds from donors supported through digital, emergency and other campaigns
  • Project manage specific direct marketing campaigns such as a cash appeals or loyalty campaign
  • Partner with our digital agency, creative agency, media agency, and inhouse data analysts.
  • Full campaign management including briefing agencies, sourcing material, managing data selections, developing artwork, organising fulfilment, campaign analysis and reporting, managing costs and invoice processing.
  • Work closely with the Data team to review campaigns and ensure that information is used to maximise income for future campaigns.
  • Work with the Individual Giving Team to implement the Emergency Fundraising Strategy and play a key part in Concern's emergency fundraising response.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Concern so that you can communicate the key messages effectively to both new and existing supporters.
About You:
ESSENTIAL
  • Strong planning and project management skills.
  • Experience of working successfully with external suppliers or internal stakeholders to deliver digital marketing campaigns or other similar projects
  • Demonstrable analytical skills and highly numerate
  • Understanding and interest in digital marketing
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written skills including experience of writing and editing emails
  • Demonstrable organisation skills and experience of managing a varied workload.
  • Strong IT skills including Excel and Word
DESIRABLE
  • Experience of paid search and paid social campaigns
  • Experience of email marketing and supporter journeys
  • Experience of working in a fundraising department
  • Experience of using a database
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Good understanding of delivering excellent customer service/donor care.
  • Knowledge of using direct marketing channels such as mail and email.

Conditions of Appointment:
Pay band: GB4
Salary: Belfast 30,075 - 33,416 , based on full time hours (35 hours per week)
