Night Duty

Overnight supervision of a severely physically disabled person in family home. Repositioning if client appears uncomfortable (from side lying to back or the opposite side), administering PEG feed. Personal Care if required. Client is non-communicative and totally dependant.

Preferably one set night per week but causual shifts available, additional hours may be made available to provide cover for leave etc. Hours of work 10.30pm to 6.30am.

Candidates would ideally have experience within a nursing or professional care setting. Manual handling (use of slide sheets etc), PEG feeding and suprapubic catheter knowledge and experience would be advantageous although training can be provided. Candidates must be reliable, confident, physically fit and able to respond quickly when assistance is required.

Enhanced Access NI check will be carried out by Social Services prior to appointment.

Smoking not permitted whilst on duty.
