The Head of Infrastructure Management for Enterprise Technology reports to the Engineering & Architecture Lead and is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.
Responsibilities:
Oversees a team of Infrastructure Engineers, ensuring effective management and coordination of Infrastructure efforts.
Collaborates closely with Solution Architects and Engineering Managers to understand the infrastructure requirements based on the Book of Work.
Proactively monitors and manages costs globally based on all applications' components including software licenses suggesting alternatives in partnership with Solution Architecture to be effective custodians of on-prem and cloud infrastructure
Collaborates with Production Support, Engineering and other stakeholders to identify and remediate infrastructure issues globally
Works with Solution Architects and Engineering Managers to forecast future needs
Review overall capacity planning based on current usage and future needs.
Actively engage with Citi Technology Infrastructure (CTI) to remediate End of Vendor Support (EOVS) Hardware.
Qualifications:
15+ years relevant experience
Experience in many different types of infrastructure options to deploy on premise.
Relevant knowledge and proven experience of cloud infrastructure: AWS experience is preferred, but GCP or Azure is acceptable. Should have cloud certifications
Relevant managerial experience in creating business cases & technology evaluation
Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities in a complex environment
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Ability to create and maintain effective partnerships with multiple stakeholders
Ability to develop working relationships, guiding and influencing others with developed communication and diplomacy skills
Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
Self-starter with ability to take the initiative and master new tasks quickly
Methodical with keen attention to detail
