Membership Portfolio Services (MPS), within our U.S. Consumer Services business, is responsible for developing and scaling several high-growth businesses that are strategically important to American Express -- including Amex Offers, Advertising, Dining, and Marketing Technology.


Within MPS, the Enterprise Comms & MarTech Experiences (ECMX) team serves as our global center of excellence for marketing services. ECMX powers high-quality, efficient, and user-centric digital marketing experiences that drive business growth through optimized MarTech and Marketing Operations (MarOps) solutions.

How will you make an impact in this role?




You will join ECMX's International MarOps organization, focused on delivering frictionless, flexible, and flawless marketing enablement. This is achieved by streamlining, scaling, and transforming operations with greater efficiency, agility, quality, and speed.


Reporting to the Vice President, International Marketing Operations, this role will lead the strategy and execution of International Web Solutions -- shaping how we deliver, govern, and continuously improve web marketing experiences across markets. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker and people leader, passionate about innovation, operational excellence, and building a high-performing team that thrives in a fast-evolving digital environment.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Provide overall vision and leadership for International, ensuring scalable, flexible, and high-quality execution across digital channels. Innovation & Transformation: Partner with Marketing, Product, and Technology teams to shape the transformation roadmap for web marketing -- driving innovation and continuous improvement in how we deliver digital experiences. Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day web operations with a focus on process optimization, governance, and performance. Ensure marketing initiatives are delivered with precision, efficiency, and compliance across markets Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong partnerships across Marketing, Product, Technology, Compliance, and Risk to enable seamless operations and strategic alignment. Vendor & Partner Management: Lead strategic relationships with preferred external partners, ensuring quality, innovation, and value delivery. Team Leadership & Development: Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing global team. Foster a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, innovation, and accountability. Talent Growth: Develop strong pipelines and succession plans to ensure long-term organizational strength and capability. Culture & Engagement: Lead with empathy and inclusivity, ensuring diverse perspectives drive better decisions and outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications



Proven experience leading marketing operations or web operations within a large, complex, and matrixed organization. Strong strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans that drive measurable business outcomes. Demonstrated success managing transformation or optimization initiatives across people, process, and technology. Exceptional collaboration, communication, and influence skills -- able to align cross-functional partners around shared goals. Experience leading teams through change, fostering growth, and cultivating a culture of innovation and excellence. Strong understanding of digital marketing enablement and MarTech ecosystems (experience with Adobe suite preferred). Comfortable navigating ambiguity, solving complex challenges, and balancing strategic priorities with executional rigor. Experience in marketing operations within regulated industries is a plus.
