JOB TITLE: Director, Infrastructure & Project Finance
LOCATION: London
HOURS: Full Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least three days per week, or 60% of your time, in the office.
About this opportunity
We're offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Director to join our Infrastructure & Project Finance ("I&PF") team.
This leadership role plays a crucial role in shaping and advancing the I&PF strategy, with a particular focus on the I&PF Advisory product. You'll use a proven network of senior level relationships across corporates and financial sponsors to originate high-quality opportunities and deliver strategic outcomes for our clients. This is an ideal role for a seasoned project finance specialist and recognised sector leader looking to influence strategic direction at a senior level.
Your role and responsibilities will include:Lead the origination and execution of Infrastructure & Project Finance (I&PF) advisory mandates, leveraging a strong network of financial sponsors and corporates.
Oversee the structuring and implementation of complex lending and advisory based project finance deals across sectors such as transportation, renewables, power, and digital infrastructure, including opportunities with Scottish Widows.
Lead the team as Deal Captain, coordinating internal processes and collaborating with others to achieve a successful financial close and alignment with credit and investment policies.
Contribute to the development and execution of the I&PF strategy, with a focus on growing the advisory offering and improving client outcomes.
Mentor junior team members and promote a high-performance, inclusive culture within the I&PF team.
Build positive relationships across internal teams and external clients to support business development and reinforce the team's market presence.

What we'll need from you:Extensive knowledge of the Infrastructure and Energy sectors, with a strong track record in advisory and lending, particularly within the UK market
Demonstrated experience acting as an underwriter, lead structuring bank, or advisor, with a portfolio of recently closed transactions
Outstanding network of contacts across the sector, including Sponsors, Advisors, Banks, and Institutional Investors
Knowledge of different financing structures - project finance, WBS, hybrid financing, Debt Capital Market offerings (bonds, USPP, ITL, underwriting), private placement (SW) and knowledge of rates product (Swaps, FX)
Strong communicator, able to build positive relationships with clients and advisors, delivering high-quality outcomes and enhancing franchise reputation
Strong understanding of the regulatory and compliance landscape affecting banks and the market

This role is considered Certified under the Senior Manager and Certification Regime as either requiring mandatory qualifications or being deemed as a role capable of providing 'significant harm' to customers. Due to this, successful candidate will be subject to enhanced levels of vetting, and required to complete a fitness and propriety attestation on commencement in role. Colleagues performing this role will be required to be complete a fitness and propriety attestation on an annual basis and will also be subject to additional routine criminal and credit checks

If you manage certified colleagues this role will be identified as Manager of certification employees under SYSC 27.8.13R as defined in the FCA Handbook(1) The function of managing or supervising a certification employee, directly or indirectly, is an FCA-specified significant-harm function.(2) A function in (1) is not an FCA certification function for that firm if it is performed by an SMF manager of that firm.
