You want a leadership role that actually matters. Cambridge and West Suffolk Ferdinand Collective is recruiting

Directors and Strategic Leads

to join our Not-for-Profit Board and Leadership Team. As well as experienced

Coaches

to shape, deliver and scale CWS FC.

This is your chance to help steer a high-growth, community-driven CIC that prioritises people, purpose, and impact over profit.

Commitment can be from a few hours a week to a few hours a month, as well as paid coaching hours.

Founded in 2024 and now as a regional franchise of the Ferdinand Collective with ambassador

In our first year, we coached c. 1,000 players and we now coach

around 150 children weekly

across

Ely, Fordham, Histon, Isleham, and Mildenhall

, and recently became finalists in the

Ely Hero Awards

We are now entering an accelerated growth phase, expanding into Cambridge City and West Suffolk while launching:

FC Academy Junior Premier League (JPL) teams Expanded community programmes Enhanced safeguarding, education, and impact frameworks
To deliver this, we need skilled, committed leaders who care about youth, community, and raising standards.

Leadership roles may become paid, as well as both part-time and full-time paid coaching roles.

Director / Lead of Coaching & Football Development



Purpose


Raise coaching standards, create development pathways, and ensure player-first outcomes.

Key Responsibilities



Oversee session quality across all hubs and teams Lead CPD for coaches, including PERFORM-based planning Build the Academy and JPL football identity Set expectations around behaviour, standards, and safeguarding Work with Safeguarding Lead on culture, policies, and practice

Ideal Profile


Experienced coach with FA licenses. Strong leader. Values-aligned.

Pay: 15.00-30.00 per hour
