Overview


Are you a strategic education leader with a passion for raising standards and driving excellence in academic provision?

Newham College is seeking a visionary Director of Academic Programmes and A-levels to lead the design and delivery of high-quality academic and A-level provision across our further education and Access programmes. As a member of our Leadership Team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping learner outcomes through robust quality improvement plans, innovative pedagogical development, and the strategic enhancement of the A-level student journey.

You will lead cross-college collaboration to improve teaching, learning and assessment, ensuring consistently high standards through coaching, monitoring and intervention where needed. This role also includes line management of the Honours Programme and the development of partnerships with universities and external stakeholders.

What we are looking for


oA degree and formal teaching qualification (PGCE or Cert Ed)
oProven leadership experience in Post-16 or FE settings
oEvidence of improving teaching, learning and assessment outcomes
oStrong interpersonal and analytical skills
oUp-to-date understanding of the higher education landscape

Safeguarding of Children and Vulnerable Adults
